Looking for Landscapes in Rusty Metal
While I’m shooting I may see a hint of a landscape or cloud I plan to use later, but mostly I just shoot what looks interesting and know I will have ‘discovery’ later as I get them into the computer and see what I have. I do not change the color of an image, I just bring up the saturation and contrast and that usually reveals gorgeous color combinations and textures that I would never think of creating on my own. Art Friends
I enjoy reuniting and visiting with artist friends I have met at the festivals over the years. It is ‘hit and miss’ when you will see many of them again, as some get in the same shows you do that year and some don’t. We all share our latest “War Stories” from festivals, like the soaring heat that caused artists and customers alike to faint during one show or a flash flood running through festival grounds of another show in the SW, damaging may artists’ work from drenching rain. Art Festivals
I have participated in art festivals and fairs for eight years. The first time I applied I had to borrow Pro-Panels from a fellow artist to create a ‘Booth Shot’, required to apply to the juried art festivals. I set the panels up in my front yard with my art hung in them and created a ‘Booth Shot’ photo. After my very first festival, The Bellevue Art Museum Art Fair and Festival, I was able to buy my own Pro-Panels I had so many sales!
