Juxtaposition is the fact of two things being seen or placed close together with contrasting effect.This image, I think, shows this concept very well. I went out with my shooting partner Bill Leahy and we happened upon this area behind a large grain elevator and it produced many fine geometric shots for us that day.

Looking for Landscapes in Rusty Metal
While I’m shooting I may see a hint of a landscape or cloud I plan to use later, but mostly I just shoot what looks interesting and know I will have ‘discovery’ later as I get them into the computer and see what I have. I do not change the color of an image, I just bring up the saturation and contrast and that usually reveals gorgeous color combinations and textures that I would never think of creating on my own.
