Describing My Work
In my artwork, I strive for an artistic style characterized by the use of details and mental associations to evoke subjective and sensory impressions rather than the re-creation of objective reality. I aim to capture a momentary, sensory effect – the impression an object makes on the eye in a fleeting instant, art that does not necessarily rely on realistic depictions. What the eye perceives and what the brain understands are two different things and I seek to capture the former - the optical effects of light or the passage of time and so on. I think it is hard...

Creating a Cradle Type Box Mount
CRADLE PANEL CONSTRUCTION My wood cradle panels are constructed by affixing birch plywood to a solid pine frame. The plywood is made up thin layers of birch wood pressed together with alternating grain direction for greater strength, while the birch frame is mitered at a 45° angle and fit to the exact size of the sheet. The 1/8" thick plywood is joined to the frame with a strong adhesive, brads are then used to add strength to the flat surface of the panel and 1” x 2” pine wood of the cradle. Mounting An Art Print
I am mounting one of my archival pigment giclee prints from my 7600 Epson wide format printer. I use a safe adhesive from Glue Safe company to adhere the print to the custom box mount.
